FIELD: physics, instrument-making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to magnetic measuring equipment and can be used in investigating magnetic properties of substances and materials in the physics of magnetic phenomena and geophysics. A method of determining magnetising field strength in magnetometers with a superconducting solenoid, including determining strength H of a magnetising field based on current I flowing through the solenoid coil, wherein a sample is placed in a magnetometer, said sample having an anhysteretic relationship with magnetic moment from the magnetic field, controlling electric current so that the magnetic moment recorded by the magnetometer is equal to zero, measuring the value of electric current I0, corresponding to zero magnetic moment, and magnetising field strength is determined by the formula H=const⋅(I-I0), where H is magnetising field strength; const is a solenoid constant; I is electric current flowing through the solenoid coil; I0 is electric current where magnetic moment is equal to zero.
EFFECT: invention provides higher accuracy of determining magnetising field strength in magnetometers with a superconducting solenoid.
