FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: cryoprobe comprises a housing, a hollow needle mounted in the housing, with an open proximal and a closed distal end, supply and return tubes. The supply tube is L-shaped, with open proximal end fixed in the housing, and open distal located in the needle cavity. The supply tube contains a portion tapering towards the distal end with an upstrean shunt branch, the open end of which is fixed in the housing. The open distal end of the return tube is located in the needle cavity with a cryochamber foemed at the closed distal end of the needle, the chamber is bounded by the inner surface of the needle and tightly separated from the cavity formed between the inner surface of the needle and the outer surface of the return tube and communicating with the housing interior. Downstream to the bending, the supply tube portion is located within the return tube, and the distal end of the supply tube goes into the cryo-chamber. The proximal end of the return tube is tightly connected to the supply tupe along the outer surface of the tube. The return tube has a drain branch, with the open end fixed in the housing.
EFFECT: invention application can improve the efficiency of cryoprobe operation by liquid refrigerant fraction delivery to the needle cryo-chamber and improvement of thermal insulation at the non-working portion of needle and housing during cryoprobe operation, simplify the design.
