FIELD: noise.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to noise suppression. Muffler contains a cylindrical body rigidly connected to the end inlet and outlet nozzles and partitions. There are at least two discs with holes installed perpendicular to the direction of motion of the aerodynamic flow in the case, these discs form the chambers. Holes of the disks are alternately displaced relative to the axis of the housing so, that the holes in two adjacent discs do not coincide. Discs are lined with sound-absorbing material at the side of the direction of the aerodynamic flow. Sound-absorbing structure of the lining of the inner cylindrical surface of the muffler body is of an annular type and comprises in its axial section a smooth and perforated surface, between which a multi-layer sound absorbing structure is arranged, having two layers: sound-reflecting layer adjoining the rigid wall, and sound-absorbing layer adjoining the perforated wall. Layer of sound reflecting material has a complex profile, consisting of evenly distributed hollow tetrahedrons, which enable to reflect sound waves coming in all directions.
EFFECT: technical result is increase of efficiency of noise suppression.
