FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves access to the hernia sac, its treatment and hernia defect suturing. Prior to hernia defect suturing, two identical rollers made of synthetic mesh material, wherein the length of each roller is greater than the hernia defect length with reduced edges, are implanted into the rectus sheaths through separate punctures in rectus sheaths front walls and arrannged along their medial edge opposite the hernia defect. The hernia defect is sutured with synthetic mesh material seizure. Cross-section diameter of the folded synthetic mesh material rollers is 0.5-1 cm. Punctures in the rectus sheaths front walls are made at a distance of 0.6-1 cm from their medial edges. Punctures in the rectus sheaths front walls are sutured at hernia defect suturing using the same thread (threads).
EFFECT: method prevents ventral hernias recurrence.
