FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to a method of surface treatment of implants, which is intended for implantation into the bone. A process of treating the surface of metal implant for providing the desired surface roughness, comprises carrying out blasting at least a part of the surface of the metal implant with particles of one or more titanium oxides, comprising at least one non-stoichiometric titanium oxide, as mentioned particles have a compact morphology and size from 1 to 300 microns. The surface of the implant is characterized by high strength after implantation into the bone.
EFFECT: invention achieves the desired surface roughness of the metal implant.
