FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: launch of the unmanned aerial multi-rotor type vehicle (UAV) is performed to the preselected point at the given geographical coordinates and at the desired height. The UAV is switched into the horizontal position holding mode, of the neutral buoyancy, the uniform rotation around the vertical axis, and in some time required for equalizing the UAV speed relative to the wind, the UAV movement is observed via the satellite navigation system defining the wind direction and speed by its indications for a time multiple of the complete vehicle turnover around the vertical axis, wherein the complete turnover and the UAV direction are determined by the electronic magnetic compass.
