FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: one launches the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in the targeted region of space. The gauge dependence among the thrust vector tilt, the wind velocity, the UAV body swing angle, the atmosphere pressure, the humidity, the temperature and the total power, which is developed by the UAV engine, are pre-determined for this vehicle. Upon that, if reached the desired point with the predetermined coordinates, the UAV, which is capable of the hovering in the targeted space point, is put in hold the geographic position and steady vertical motion mode, and then the mode steady yaw movement is put. At divisible by the UAV complete turn round vertical axis periods of time, one measures the thrust vector tilt, the consumed by engines power, the atmosphere pressure, the dissimilar air masses. At the same time, the complete turn and the UAV direction are determined with the aid of the electronic magnetic compass. One determines the direction and the wind speed in the vertical cut using the received dependence when calibrating and the newly measured characteristics.

EFFECT: functional capacity enhancement, probing device positioning accuracy increase.
