FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: to determine the extent of erythrocyte apoptosis in vitro, erythrocytes are washed in the 10-fold volume of saline, and the resulting supernatant is incubated with gadolinium chloride to a final concentration of 400-600 mcm. After vigorous stirring, the mixture is centrifuged at 3000 rpm for 5 min. Acetylcholinesterase activity is determined in the resulting residue containing microparticles. According to acetylcholinesterase activity, the degree of erythrocyte apoptosis is concluded.
EFFECT: invention provides a simple and quick way to determine the degree of erythrocyte apoptosis in drug screening.
