FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises determination of the circulating tumour cells number in the peripheral blood. 6 courses of polychemotherapy (PCT) are performed, at that, the day before the first course of line I polychemotherapy, the number of circulating tumour cells (CTCs) is determined in the peripheral blood, 2 courses of line I PCT are performed, and then the day before the 3rd course the number of CTCs in the peripheral blood is determined once again. When this index remains at the baseline or increases, the treatment is assessed as ineffective and the scheme of line I PCT is changed to the line II PCT scheme, when the number of circulating tumour cells reduces compared to baseline, the treatment is considered effective and chemotherapy is continue by the same scheme.

EFFECT: application of the invention allows to determine the chemotherapy effectiveness for patients with locally advanced breast cancer and to improve treatment quality by selecting an individual treatment regimen.
