SUBSTANCE: to determine the treatment tactics for patients with parotid-masticatory area phlegmon during the postoperative period, the following criteria are evaluated: age group: under 30 - 1 point, 30 to 40 years - 2 points, 41 to 50 years - 3 points, over 50 years - 4 points; duration of purulent wound purification in terms of: microbial contamination 105 per 1 g of tissue: 4 days - point, 5 days - 2 points, 6 days - 3 points, more than 6 days - 4 points; biopotential amplitude of the masseter muscle action on the surgery side: more than 300 uV - 0 points, 300 to 250 uV - 1 point, 249 to 200 microvolts - 2 points, 199 to 100 uV - 3 points, less than 100 uV - 4 points ; tissue pressure level: less than 100 mm Hg - 0 points, 10 to 15 mm Hg - 1 point, 16 to 20 mm Hg - 2 points, 21 to 30 mm Hg - 3 points, more than 30 mm Hg - 4 points; blood N-acetyltransferase activity level: more than 40% - 0 points, 40 to 30% - 1 point, 29 to 20% - 2 points, 19 to 10% - 3 points, less than 10% - 4 points, at the total of 5 to 10 points, decompressive fasciotomy of masseter muscle fascial case on the surgery side is prescribed, from 11 to 16 points - electrical stimulation of the masseter muscle on the surgery side is prescribed, 17 points and more - anti-scar therapy is prescribed.

EFFECT: method allows to unify indications for the choice of treatment tactics for patients with parotid-masticatory area phlegmon during the postoperative period, to improve the results and increase treatment efficiency, to reduce the number of complications by eliminating subjective factors.
