METHOD FOR TREATMENT OF ACUTE TISSUE HYPERTENSION SYNDROME WITH COMBINED INTERMUSCULAR PHLEGMON OF THE UPPER EXTREMITY Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61B17/00 A61B5/03

Abstract RU 2755169 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely surgery, and can be used for the treatment of acute tissue hypertension syndrome in patients with combined intermuscular phlegmon of the upper extremity. Synchronous measurement of tissue pressure is carried out in the area of three or more muscles of the forearm area, as well as three or more muscles of the shoulder area of the affected extremity. Then, the tissue pressure of three or more identical muscles of the forearm area, as well as three or more identical muscles of the shoulder area of a healthy extremity is measured and the percentage of the difference (R) of the sum of these values is calculated according to a given formula. At an R value of 20% or higher, a Z-shaped fasciotomy is performed in the area of the upper third of the fascial case of the brachioradial muscle, in the area of the upper third of the fascial case of the long extensor radialis, in the area of the middle third of the fascial case of the triceps muscle of the shoulder of the affected extremity, with the length of each incision making up the letter “Z”, 3.0 cm.

EFFECT: method provides an improvement in the course of the wound process and eliminates the risk of postoperative complications due to the simultaneous determination of the parameters of tissue pressure throughout the fascial cases of the entire upper extremity, which allows timely diagnosis of acute tissue hypertension syndrome and adjust the operational tactics of managing patients with combined intermuscular phlegmon of the upper extremity.
