FIELD: physics, instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the field of optical measurement and concerns optical quantum thermometer. The thermometer includes a low frequency (LF) generator, a capacitor, an electromagnet coil, active material in the form of silicon carbide crystal placed inside the coil and containing at least one spin center based on a silicon vacancy with the excited quadruplet spin state S = 3/2, a DC source, a synchronous detector, a control unit, a laser and a photodetector. The laser provides emission in the near infrared area and is optically coupled with the active material through the semitransparent mirror, mirror and lens. The photodetector is optically coupled with the active material through the lens, mirror, semitransparent mirror and semitransparent filter. The LF generator is connected via the capacitor to the electromagnet coil, to which the DC source output is also connected.
EFFECT: invention provides device simplification and possibilities of operation in the transparency band of biological objects without application of ultrahigh frequency radiation.
