FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: first of all, organic extracts of lanthanum, cerium and terbium are mixed from nitric acid solutions in a mole ratio of 0.8:0.15: 0.05, respectively, and a volume ratio of 7:1:0.8, respectively. The combined extract is mixed with tributyl phosphate in a volume ratio equal respectively (48-50):1, and the pyrolysis is carried out of the mixture at 600-700°C for 2 hours. The resulting lanthanum phosphate phosphor, activated by cerium and terbium, has the composition La0.8Ce0.15Tb0.05PO4.

EFFECT: maximum luminescence intensity is in the range of 530-560 nm and represents a nanosized powder with a particle size of 40 nm.
