FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: solid-state source of electromagnetic radiation comprises the working layer made in the form of a film from a conducting ferromagnetic material. The working layer of the solid-state source is arranged on the substrate from a dielectric or a semiconductor transparent to radiation of the operating wavelength range. A massive plate of electrically conductive material with through openings is arranged on the surface of the working layer in contact with it. A cylindrical ferromagnetic rod with a pointed end is inserted in each opening so that the sharp end of each rod contacts the working layer. The distance between the axes of adjacent cylindrical rods D must meet the condition D=n×λ/2>D1, where n=1, 2, 3, 4…an integer, λ is the radiation wavelength, D1 is the diameter of the cylindrical rod portion. The solid source of electromagnetic radiation contains a power supply source, one pole of which is connected to the cylindrical rods, and the other to the massive plate with openings.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of increasing the electromagnetic radiation power, increasing the durability and the operation reliability.
