FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to generate terahertz (THz) range radiation. Essence of the invention consists in that the solid-state electromagnetic radiation source comprises a power supply, a working layer and electroconductive elements, in which working layer is made in form of track membrane with through pore channels, in pores there are electroconductive elements in form of nanowires consisting of two halves, which are made of different metals or different in composition alloys, differing by value of coercive force, one end of each of nanowires is in contact with copper layer applied to surface opposite to base of membrane, and the second end of each of the nanowires is in contact with the gold layer applied on the surface of the membrane base, both said layers directly or through contacting metal plates are connected to the power supply.
EFFECT: possibility of increasing radiation power and improving reliability.
