FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed control apparatus for the internal combustion engine in which the exhaust gas recirculated (EGR) and the condensed water produced in the cooler EGR (28, 23) is supplied to the cylinder 2 of the internal combustion engine. This controller calculates the equivalence ratio of fuel to an internal combustion engine and controls the valve EGR (27) and the supply valve of the condensed water (38) so that when the excess fuel ratio high, the feed rate of the condensed water increases and the EGR gas flow rate decreases compared with the case where a small equivalence ratio.
EFFECT: smoke reduction and hydrocarbons (HC) in the exhaust gases.
