FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine. The intraocular pressure measurement and/or monitoring system includes: an apparatus for intraocular pressure measurement, comprising a support and a pressure sensor combined with a support, wherein the support is configured to bring the pressure sensor in contact with the user's eye to measure its intraocular pressure (IOP); a portable recorder, adapted to communicate with a device for intraocular pressure measurement and to store data received from the device for intraocular pressure measurement, the portable recording device comprises an antenna for wireless communication with the intraocular pressure measuring device; an inertial sensor for collecting information about movement and/or physical activity of the user. At that, the inertial sensor is located in the communication module forming an interface to the antenna and adapted to be placed on the user's head, while the user is wearing the said system for intraocular pressure measurement and/or monitoring, or in the dressing, designed to surround the user's eye while the user is wearing the said system for intraocular pressure measurement and/or monitoring.
EFFECT: application of this invention will improve the accuracy of intraocular pressure measurement over extended periods of time, both day and night, during patient's sleep.
