FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention is referred to the field of ophthalmology and serves for measurement of intraocular pressure (IOP) in the patients with pathologic corneal changes. Soft hydrogel contact lens is put on the cornea of the patient. IOP is measured using dynamic bidirectional process of cornea applanation using Ocular response analyzer.

EFFECT: method provides for objective IOP measurement including the one performed in patients with keratoconus (stages 3 and 4), epithelial-endothelial cornea dystrophies, keratitis and keratouveitis of herpes, bacterial and other etiology appearing after traumas and keratoplastic surgeries.
