FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention discloses the gear drive design of the high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) for the engine (ICE). The drive structure composition includes: the helical gear 5 with an internal slot; the sleeve 4 with an outer slot; the sliding clutch 7 and the fixed clutch 9. The sleeve 4 is fixedly attached to the shaft 21 of the HPFP 2, the outer slot of the sleeve 4 and the inner slot of the helical gear 5 are adjacent to each other with a gap, with the possibility of sliding the gear 5 relative to the sleeve 4 in the longitudinal direction. The sliding clutch 7 and the fixed clutch 9 are coaxially inserted into each other, with the possibility of mutual displacement in the longitudinal direction. One end of the sliding clutch 7 abuts the helical gear 5, and the pre-compressed spring 8 is placed between the sliding clutch 7 and the fixed clutch 9.
EFFECT: reduction of the axial force generated by actuating the HPFP helical gear and noise reduction.
