DISCHARGE DEVICE OF PULSE-PERIODIC GAS-DISCHARGE TE LASER Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC H01S3/97

Abstract RU 2618586 C1

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: discharge device of a pulse-periodic gas-discharge TE laser contains a pair of extended electrodes separated by a gas flow zone and forming a discharge gap. The capacitors of the main discharge circuit are located outside the flow zone, near the first electrode and are connected through the flow zone by streamlined conductors with a second electrode. Outside the flow zone near the second electrode is located at least one capacitor of an additional discharge circuit, connected by a streamlined conductor with the first electrode. And the distance between the adjacent current leads of the main and additional circuits exceeds the distance between the electrodes.

EFFECT: providing the possibility of creating a laser with high pulse energy, high pulse repetition rate and high efficiency.
