FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used to assess the probability of fractures of the proximal femural bone of elderly women. Somatometric parameters of the examined patient are determined (X0): body weight (X1, kg); height; inter-acromial diameter; pelvic crest diameter (X2, cm); girth of the middle third of the shoulder (X3, see); girth the upper third of the forearm (X4, cm); girth of the chest; abdominal girth at the navel (X5, cm); hip girth (X6, cm); shin girth (X7, cm); skinfold thickness on the rear shoulder surface (X8, mm); skinfold thickness on the front shoulder surface (X9, mm); skinfold thickness on the forearm (X10, mm); skinfold thickness on the back; skinfold thickness on the chest; skinfold thickness on the stomach; skinfold thickness on the hip; skinfold thickness on the tibia; index of relative pelvis width (X11,%); pelvic-brachial index (X12,%); BMI A. Quetelet (X13, kg/m2); total muscle mass (X14, %); relative muscle mass (X15, %); average radii of shoulder, forearm, hip and tibia without fat and skin (X16, cm); chest girth and stomach girth ratio (X17, %). Somatometric indicators are classified using five body clusters (XK, I-V), for which the distance values (DC) are calculated by determination of the difference between the somatometric indicators of the examined person and the centers of each of the five body clusters in accordance with Table 1 of the description, using the formula. The results of calculations are five values of DC. The smallest of the resulting values correspond to the cluster classification of the indicators. The risk of the proximal femur fractures is assessed as high, if the indicators belong to the third and the fourth clusters and low, if the indicators belong to the first, the second and the fifth clusters.
EFFECT: method of accurate assessment of the probability of proximal femural bone fractures for elderly women through assessment of the optimal set of somatometric parameters.
