FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular, to obstetrics and gynecology, and can be used to predict the risk of developing postpartum hemorrhage in the early postpartum period in women of different somatotypes. Fat and muscle mass of the body of an examined woman in the gestation period up to 9–10 weeks are measured as anthropometric indicators according to the formula of J. Mateigka. Somatotype is determined by the method of R. N. Dorokhov. History of postpartum hemorrhage or bleeding after an abortion is detected. Data obtained are entered in the formula PPH = 48.896 – (36.978 × A) + (1.294 × B) – (1.795 × C) + (88.7 × D), where PPH is the probability of postpartum hemorrhage in the early postpartum period (%), A is a woman’s somatotype (in somatotyping points), B is a woman’s fatty mass (in kg), C is a woman’s muscle mass (in kg), D is a history of postpartum hemorrhage or bleeding after abortions (1 is, 0 is not). Result is judged on the likelihood of postpartum hemorrhage in the early postpartum period.
EFFECT: method provides prediction of the risk of postpartum hemorrhage in the early postpartum period in women of different somatotypes due to the rapid diagnosis of a somatotype of women with an assessment of body mass index.
