FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves the preparation of lithium silicate solutions by dissolving amorphous silica in solutions of lithium hydroxide, at a temperature of 60-120°C, for 60-120 minutes, and the reaction mass cooled to 10-40°C, followed by filtration or sedimentation. The invention provides a lithium silicate solution with the silicate modulus of from 1 to 20, a density of from 1050 to 1300 kg/m3 and a viscosity of 500 cps at 20°C.
EFFECT: increased quality of output.
