SUBSTANCE: cutting plate (14) contains two opposing end surfaces (16) and a common periphery (18), extending between them. The periphery (18) includes five identical peripheral sections (34) and five identical peripheral segments (32). Each peripheral segment (32) extends between two adjacent peripheral sections (34), and each peripheral section (34) contains two adjacent support sections (40), located between two front surfaces (36). At the top view of each end surface (16), each support section (40) lies on the imaginary five-pointed star portion, which includes five external peaks (24), alternating with five internal peaks (26). The cutting plate (14) includes five cutting portions (28), each associated with the respective outer peak (24) extends outwardly and includes two opposing cutting peaks (30).
EFFECT: extension of processing capabilities and strength increase.
