FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the field of biotechnology of plants and forest management and can be used for obtaining new tetraploid aspen forms with changed productivity and morphology. A method includes treatment of internodes (explants) with trifluralin in concentration of 3 µmol/l for 24 hours; in this method etiolated sprouts are used for obtaining internodes.
EFFECT: method allows to increase significantly the output of tetraploid aspen forms.
