SUBSTANCE: present invention provides a method and device for adjusting the router signal power. The method includes monitoring the number of terminals connected to the router over a wireless connection for a predetermined period of time; determining a signal power level of the router signal in accordance with the number of terminals connected to this router over the wireless connection during the said predetermined period of time; and adjusting the power of the signal transmitted by the router in accordance with the said signal power level. The router can automatically control the signal power transmitted thereby with the present invention.
