MEASUREMENT OF URINARY BLADGER TEMPERATURE FOR HIGH-INTENSITY FOCUSED ULTRASOUND Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61N7/02 G01K11/32

Abstract RU 2686294 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, namely to body temperature measurement means when performing high-intensity focused ultrasonic action. Medical instrument comprises high-intensity focused ultrasonic system for ultrasonic action on target area inside subject, light source for excitation of heat-sensitive fluorescent dye, wherein the light source is configured to be connected to the urinary catheter fiber optic cable, a light sensor for measuring fluorescence emitted by the heat-sensitive fluorescent dye, wherein the light sensor is configured to be connected to the fiber optic cable, the fluorescent dye container and the pumping system configured to be connected to the urinary catheter, wherein the pumping system is further connected to the fluorescent dye container and is configured to be pumped from the fluorescent dye container to the distal end of the urinary catheter, memory for storing computer-executable instructions and a processor for managing the medical instrument, wherein execution of computer-executable instructions causes processor to receive ultrasound exposure plan to target area, measure fluorescence using light sensor, calculating bladder temperature using fluorescence, and generating ultrasonic exposure commands using an ultrasound exposure plan and urinary bladder temperature, wherein the ultrasonic action commands are intended to control a high-intensity focused ultrasonic system for ultrasonic action on the target area. Device is equipped with a machine-readable carrier storing a computer program product containing computer-executable instructions for execution by a processor controlling a medical instrument.

EFFECT: use of inventions makes it possible to increase efficiency of body temperature measurement, which is compatible with HIFU.
