FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: to obtain a biodegradable implant, aqueous solutions of glycosaminoglycans, lactic acid and polyvinylpyrrolidone polymers and/or copolymers are extruded with formation of seeds - "dry" ellipsoids of rotation, dried and cross-linked by gamma radiation. Seeds are transferred to an aqueous solution of the said polymers and/or copolymers with a dissolved drug substance, kept for 30-120 minutes, extruded and crosslinked by gamma radiation. Extrusion is repeated with alternation of solutions containing and not containing a drug substance, forming a multilayer implant with a maximum dimension of 3.0-5.0 mm along the longitudinal axis, 0.1-0.3 mm along the transverse axis.
EFFECT: achievement and maintenance of the required drug substance concentration in the vitreous cavity.
