FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: production method of the electrical steel strip includes steel smelting and casting, hot rolling, two cold rolling of the strips in rolling stand mill work rolls, decarburizing annealing, heat-resistant coating, high-temperature annealing and straightening strip annealing with electrical insulating coating. After the final cold rolling, a strip compression with a degree of no more than 10% is carried out to reduce the roughness of its surface by pulling the cold rolled strip through the work rolls of the mill with the drive disconnected. The proposed method is very technological, since the compression can be carried out by pulling the strip in the cold rolling mill with the work roll drive disconnected by means of reels, without the need for additional equipment. The compression operation provides a very smooth surface and the necessary flatness of the electrical steel strip.
EFFECT: decrease in the roughness of the strip surface, decrease in the specific magnetic losses.
