FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: output signal of the intermediate frequency of the investigated microwave device with frequency conversion is converted into a microwave signal, the frequency of which is equal to the signal frequency at its input, with the help of a reverse-connected reference microwave device with frequency conversion. The total phase angle is measured by using a vector network analyzer Σϕ of the investigated and reference microwave devices with frequency conversion. The difference Δ1ϕ angle of phase shift of the investigated microwave device with frequency and phase conversion of the coherent reference signal is measured, which is obtained from the reference signal generator. After that, the difference Δ2 of theϕ phase angle of the reference microwave device with the frequency conversion and the phase of the coherent reference signal is measured that is obtained from the reference signal generator. The desired value of the phase angle of the investigated microwave device with frequency conversion is determined by the formula: .
