FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: system comprises a folded based consisting of two parts connected by a hinge joint, wherein each part comprises one or more docking stations, two guide tubes for surgical instruments. Each is supported by one docking station, and two operating units adapted to connect to one of the docking stations, include a chamber for surgical instrument reception, an instrument diameter sensor and an instrument tracking unit. Tracking data and information on the diameter are provided by the program stored in the memory. The method comprises the following steps of: determination of the information on the instrument diameter, introduced into the operating unit, determination of instrument tracking data, wherein the tracking data are determined independently from the instrument diameter information determination, when the instrument touches the chamber surface, and the simulated instrument image is displayed based on the diameter information and tracking data. The operating unit includes a chamber for instruments, diameter sensor for the instrument introduced into the chamber, instrument tracking unit, where the tracking unit and the diameter sensor provide information to be used by software, and the operating unit is connected to a docking station that supports the guide tube for instruments.
EFFECT: application of inventions allows to simplify transportation, assembly and calibration of instruments to simulate vascular surgery with visualization control.
