FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: power source unit (130) is provided for powering, at least, one gradient coil (128) of the magnetic resonance (MR) study system (110) with the main magnet (114) having in, at least, one operating condition, substantially, a constant magnetic field intensity, and with the band width of the measuring MR signal frequencies, wherein the power source unit (130) comprises: a pulse power transmitter (134) for powering, at least, one gradient coil (128) comprising, at least, one switching element adapted to switch between the state conducting configuration and the actual state non-conducting configuration on the first main switching frequency (fSW); a pulse control unit (132) adapted to provide switching pulses at the first main switching frequency (fSW) to control the switching of, at least, one switching element; wherein the pulse control unit (132) is adapted to change the first main switching frequency (fSWf) on, at least, the second main switching frequency (fSW') by initiating with the initiating signal (142).

EFFECT: ensuring the possibility of excluding the interference between the measuring MR signals and higher harmonics of the main switching frequency.
