FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: in the double-flow cylinder body in the space between the discs of the first stages of the rotor a ring is installed which consists of the outer shell, outer walls, inner shell, inner walls. In this case, the outer shell, the outer walls and the inner shell form an outer chamber, and the inner shell, inner walls and rotor form an inner chamber. In the outer walls there are lateral openings made with closing elements installed in them, wherein each element has a gap, which is made at an angle α=30-50° to the end flat face of a closing element. The ratio of the width of the gap to its length is 0.05-0.1. Piston rings are installed between the outer shell and the cooling steam supply line. At least one through radial hole is made in the inner shell. There are sealing elements in the inner walls.
EFFECT: effective cooling of the central part of the double-flow cylinder while minimizing cooling steam flow that provides high efficiency, reliability and increases the endurance resource of the rotor.
