METHOD FOR SCORING OF EMOTIONAL, COGNITIVE DISTURBANCES, SOCIAL ADAPTATION AND RESPONSE TO ANTI-SURGERY THERAPY FOR PATIENTS WITH EPILEPSY Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61B5/16 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: scoring of emotional, cognitive disorders, social adaptation and response to anticonvulsant drug therapy in epilepsy patients is performed on the basis of: criteria for comprehensive assessment of these fields on patient complaints, presence of psychotic conditions associated with epilepsy in history, level of anxiety and depression "Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale", characteristics of the Short Scale of Mental State Frontal Assessment Battery Estimation, indices of "Role Functioning due to Physical State" of questionnaire SF-36 and "Social Functioning" section of poll QOLIE-31, as well as disability, quantity of anticonvulsants received, number of complex partial, primary and secondary degenerative seizures before and after correction of the anticonvulsant therapy.

EFFECT: method allows to assess the level of emotional, cognitive disturbances, social adaptation indices, and effectiveness of anticonvulsant therapy for patients with epilepsy by determining patient complaints, history, anxiety and depression scales, tests of cognitive function and quality of life, and the number of anticonvulsant drugs and changes in the number of seizures at the background of ongoing therapy for a comprehensive description of the state of patients with epilepsy.
