FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel peptide structures having antibacterial properties and can be used in medicine. A family of peptides having inhibitory activity against bacterial RecA proteins is claimed, as well as having the property of blocking the SOS-response of bacteria.
EFFECT: unlike the known analogs, the proposed peptides have greater conformational stability and are able to inhibit the activity of RecA protein with a sufficiently low IC50.
