FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: light filter for protection from laser radiation is based on the Pockels effect and includes a transparent substrate fixed in a plastic casing. On the substrate, a polarizer made of a quartz element is rigidly fixed between two transparent plate-electrodes. The quartz element and the electrodes are clamped to the substrate, which is twisted in the thread by the sleeve.

EFFECT: providing protection in a wide range of wavelengths, simplifying the design.
