FIELD: optical instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical instrument-making and concerns a controlled protective filter from laser radiation in visible and near infrared ranges. Filter includes transparent substrate, which is fixed in plastic housing. On the substrate between poles of electromagnets there is a rigidly fixed polariser from a quartz element, on which a net of paired thin hair threads of semiconductors is fixed through an insulating transparent film, pressed to a substrate, which is twisted along the thread by a bushing. In the side surface of the bushing there are power supply conductors of electromagnets creating a directed magnetic field inside the quartz crystal and conductors from the grid to the electromagnets control unit.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of protective filter and possibility of changing value of passage of filter depending on power of laser radiation.
