FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of generating chemically active particles in a liquid using an electric discharge comprises the step of exposing the object to be treated with pulsed ultraviolet radiation of an electric discharge plasma (200-280 nm), a discharge capacitance value of C of 3.3 nF, a high voltage value of 11 kV, a magnitude ballast resistance R=14 MΩ, the gap between the discharge electrodes 3 mm. The power of the electric discharge pulse is optimized to obtain the maximum chemical effect in the liquid. The position of the maximum of the plasma emission spectrum is chosen in the region of 220 nm. When the discharge power is increased, the maximum of the spectrum shifts to the region of shorter wavelengths when most of the energy is absorbed by the air, and with a decrease in power, the maximum of the spectrum shifts to the region of longer waves whose chemical activity is less. In addition, at high discharge power, active particles formed in a liquid under the action of radiation perish in interactions with each other without producing a chemical effect.
EFFECT: increasing the energy efficiency of the impact.
