FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: corresponding block in the associated image is determined; it is based on whether the boundary of the current block is adjacent to the boundary of the largest code block. A temporal prediction motion vector of the current block is obtained by scaling the motion vector of the associated block, wherein the motion vector of the associated block is scaled based on the time distance between the associated image and the reference image of the associated block. A list of candidates for the motion vectors of the current block is formed. The inter-frame prediction for the current block is performed, based on the list of candidates for the motion vectors thus formed. The residual samples relating to the current block are obtained by performing an inverse transformation of the transform coefficients related to the current block based on either a discrete cosine transform (DCT) or discrete sine transform (DST). The reconstituted samples are obtained using the predicted samples obtained by performing inter-frame prediction and residual samples.
