SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of obtaining a 1-adamantyl isothiocyanate by heating in boiling 1-adamantyl isothiocyanate with phenyl isothiocyanate in dimethylformamide during 1 hour with the subsequent crystallisation product of reaction during cooling.
EFFECT: new way to produce 1-adamantyl isothiocyanate without the use of hazardous reagents, characterised by simplicity of synthesis, short reaction time and high yield of the desired product.
