FIELD: measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to moving object with unknown level of radiation non-contact temperature determination method, in particular object in form of metal wire, transported along its longitudinal axis. In compliance with disclosed method object is directed through, at least, one source of thermal radiation, wherein object is enclosed with given source in its larger part or completely. Using, at least, one radiation detector performing with spatial resolution, thermal radiation measurement in area, through which object is passing, when it is directed through radiation source. Based on thermal radiation measurement with spatial resolution, moving object temperature is determined. Invention also relates to corresponding device.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of obtained results.
