SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and a device for measuring a tubular profile coming out of an extrusion device. The method is carried out by measuring tubular profile (16, 116, 216) coming out of extrusion device (10, 110, 210). Electromagnetic radiation in the frequency range from 1 GHz to 6000 GHz is directed from the inside to inner side (36) of tubular profile (16, 116, 216) by means of at least one radiation source. Electromagnetic radiation reflected by tubular profile (16, 116, 216) is received by means of at least one radiation receiver, and diameter and/or thickness of a wall and/or shape deviations of tubular profile (16, 116, 216) are determined based on the received electromagnetic radiation. Electromagnetic radiation is directed to several measurement areas distributed along the inner perimeter of tubular profile (16, 116, 216), on inner side (36) of tubular profile (16, 116, 216), wherein electromagnetic radiation is directed to inner side (36) of tubular profile (16, 116, 216) by at least one emitter located inside tubular profile (16, 116, 216) and rotating around the longitudinal axis of tubular profile (16, 116, 216).
EFFECT: providing a method and a device, using which, when using small installation space and immediately after extrusion, geometric parameters of extruded tubular profiles can be accurately determined.
