SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for controlling a production system for flat or filamentous bodies, wherein the body is moved in the direction of transportation through a measurement area where the body is irradiated with measuring radiation in the gigahertz or terahertz frequency range, wherein the measuring radiation at least partially penetrates the body, and the measuring radiation reflected by the body is detected, and the refractive index of the body and/or absorption of measuring radiation by the body is determined using the detected measuring radiation. At least one production parameter of the production system is therein controlled based on determining the refractive index and/or determining absorption, wherein the refractive index and/or absorption are determined at multiple points of time while the body is transported through the measurement area, and at least one production parameter is controlled based on the change in the refractive index and/or absorption with time, and/or measuring radiation is emitted at various points of the body, wherein the refractive index and/or absorption is determined at said various points of the body, and at least one production parameter is controlled based on the spatial change in the refractive index and/or absorption. The invention also relates to the corresponding apparatus.
EFFECT: additional information about the production process is obtained in order to achieve more targeted and accurate control of the production system.
