SUBSTANCE: electronic system for controlling the trigger ramp of a vessel-pipelayer while laying a pipeline on the water body bottom is made with the possibility of collecting data relating to the trigger ramp configuration, to the vessel-pipelayer, and to the data related to the forces transmitted by the trigger ramp and the vessel-pipelayer to the pipeline. Based on these data, a plurality of sequences of steps for changing the trigger ramp configuration of the vessel-pipelayer from the first to the second operational configuration is generated. Then, to minimize the stress caused in the pipeline in each intermediate configuration between the first and the second operational configurations, the best sequence of steps is selected as a function of the plurality of the sequences of steps and the data collected.
EFFECT: minimizing the voltage.
