FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: method of the exhaust gas cleaning of an internal combustion engine includes: reducing the soot in the exhaust gas by passing gas through the filter; subsequent reduction of nitrogen oxides in the presence of ammonia or its precursor on contact with a catalyst active in NH3-SCR; periodic regeneration of the filter by burning out the soot accumulated in the filter and thereby increasing the temperature of the exhaust gas up to 850°C and the content of water vapour up to 100 vol. %; passing the exhaust gas leaving the filter through the catalyst during the filter regeneration, the catalyst consisting of a hydrothermally stable microporous zeolite SSZ-39 activated by copper.
EFFECT: method allows carrying out of selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides at high temperatures and water vapour concentrations during the active regeneration of the particulate filter.
