FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: noise suppressor contains a cylindrical body, rigidly connected to the end inlet and outlet nozzles, and partitions, at least two discs with holes, forming the chambers, are installed in the body perpendicular to the aerodynamic flow direction. The holes of the discs are alternately misaligned relative to the housing axis, so that the holes in two adjacent disks don't coincide. The body is made of structural materials, with soft vibration-damping material coated on its surface from one or both sides. Sound-absorbing ring elements are mounted coaxially to the cylindrical body, in the chambers, each of the elements is designed in the form of rigid and perforated walls, between which two layers are positioned: a reflecting layer adjacent to the rigid wall and sound absorbing layer adjacent to the perforated wall. The layer of sound reflecting material is made from complex profile composed of evenly distributed hollow tetrahedrons, allowing to reflect acoustical surges incident in all directions. As the sound-absorbing material the basalt-based mineral wool with a woven glass liner or expanded polymer liner is used. The surface of fibrous absorbers is treated with porous air-permeable paints.
EFFECT: increased noise suppression efficiency due to the chamber suppressor setting by means of the noise absorbing element turn.
