Abstract RU 2623810 C1

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: laser contains an active element in the form of a rod, at least, one of its ends being beveled relative to its longitudinal axis such that the angle between the normal to the end and the longitudinal axis of the active element exceeds the maximum angle of the total internal reflection. The lateral surface of the rod, opposite to the beveled end, is made in the form of a window that is transparent to laser radiation. The beveled end of the active element is equipped with a pumping source in such a way that the pumping radiation penetrates through the end into the active element. One of the resonator mirrors is mounted opposite the window in the active element so that the angle between the mirror axis and the surface of the beveled end is equal to the angle between this surface and the axis of the active element. In addition, a laser amplifier consisting of the second pumping source and the second active element is injected, at least, one of the ends of which is beveled relative to its longitudinal axis such that the angle between the normal to the end and the longitudinal axis of the second active element exceeds the maximum angle of the total internal reflection. The lateral surface of the rod, opposite to the beveled end, is made in the form of a window that is transparent to laser radiation. The second pumping source is mounted at the beveled end of the second active element in such a way that the pumping radiation penetrates through the end into the active element, the second active element being installed by its window opposite the semitransparent mirror.

EFFECT: providing the possibility of increasing the energy of the output laser radiation with the minimum dimensions of the device.
