FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: device for non-destructive testing of the metal surface roughness comprises of a heater, capable of thermal contact with the first and second heated electrodes, and the first heated electrode, a reference sample, a tested article, the second heated electrode, which are series-connected. The electrodes are connected to a galvanometer. The first heated electrode is connected to the first temperature measuring unit which is connected to a microcontroller. The second heated electrode is connected to the second temperature measuring unit that is connected to a microcontroller, the first output of which is connected to a heater control unit, the output of which is connected to the heater. The second output of the microcontroller is connected to an indicator.

EFFECT: surface roughness control of metal of different heats.
