FIELD: machine engineering.

SUBSTANCE: sliding forming reel includes a plurality of swivel arms. Each segment is connected to only one swing arm. Each pivot arm has a first end portion hingedly connected to an outer circumferential surface of the same cylindrical slider mounted outside the reel shaft and has a second end portion pivotally connected to the corresponding segment. The reel comprises a plurality of mechanisms for expanding/clamping the segments formed by the plurality of pivot arms and is expandable/compressible by a plurality of spreading/pressing mechanisms of the segments simultaneously with the movement of the slide in the direction of the reel shaft. A plurality of pivot arms are disposed around the reel shaft at intervals alternately in two rows behind and in front along the reel shaft. The forming reel further comprises a fixing element mounted on the reel shaft and a plurality of guide elements for guiding the second end portion of the pivot arms in the radial direction of the reel shaft on the fixing element. The guide elements are arranged at intervals in the direction of the reel shaft relative to the locking element.
