FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: generator comprises sequentially installed elements consisting of a diode with an explosive cathode adapted to generate relativistic high-current stream of electrons, a plasma source with a tungsten thermionic cathode, adapted to generate electron flow by ionizing the gas to create a tubular shaped plasma generating section a portion of a cylindrical tube with a diameter twice the inside diameter of the plasma and equal to half the maximum emission wavelength, and output nod, and covering these elements solenoid which generates a magnetic field for transport of electrons from the diode, and the plasma source to the output node. The solenoid is made two-sectioned, and the first section of the solenoid embracing the diode with the explosive-emission cathode and the source of the plasma with the tungsten thermal cathode is made with the condition of forming a magnetic field with a greater induction than the magnetic field induction generated in the cylindrical tube section by the second section of the solenoid.
EFFECT: reduced power consumption and increased reliability.
